The kids love when I set a fancy table in the Dining Room that includes them, so I tried to

I fell in love with the napkins and flatware at World Market during their Friends & Family sale, so I built the table around their beautiful green and lavender colors.

I created the centerpiece with grocery store flowers and a box of Peeps. The flowers are arranged in a short water glass and placed inside a trifle dish lined with Peeps marshmallows.

I placed the {DIY} Magnolia Chargers on top of gold chargers for more height and stability. The tablecloth is simply a piece of inexpensive Spring fabric with the ends folded under.

For placecards, I drew our initials with glue on a plastic egg and covered it with glitter. I let them dry overnight, then filled the eggs with chocolates and placed in the cutest egg cups ever (also from World Market!)

I wanted a mix of metallics, so I combined brass West Elm napkin rings with the silver flatware and silver and brass candlesticks.

I found pink tapers on clearance at Pier 1, but Hobby Lobby has a large color selection as well. Since the kids are joining us at this table, I couldn't resist adding the duck salt & pepper shakers from the Target Dollar Section!

The table is set and ready to go....now who's cooking?!?
Oh, and here's the latest on our own little Easter Bunnies!
Unless you have a heart of stone, are you dying over the sweetness of that face? They still haven't opened their eyes, and they pop around like popcorn when you uncover them.

My favourite table you've done yet-adorable in every sense of the work- love love the fabric napkins and ducky marshamallows under the flowers. And those little babies....melt your heart!
ReplyDeleteLove all of it--especially the "chargers" and the peeps :) You are so good at this!
ReplyDeleteThe bunnies are adorable. We had some in a large flower urn one summer and unfortunately they didn't survive. Just be careful - they have very weak immune systems and have been known to pass away for no apparent reason. Opening and closing their nest causes a change in their body temp quickly which is probably part of why they pop around =) The downside is it might not be good for their little bodies. Good luck and hopefully they'll grow big and strong and not eat your garden if you have one =)
ReplyDeleteFabulous, Love it all! I passed up the duck salt and pepper shakers at the dollar spot, but couldn't resist the little gnome :)
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous! I love all of the colors, and so glad I found your blog! So inspirational! Those bunnies are so friggin cute - makes me want to get one - but I have no business getting another animal!
