Let's get this party started!! Preparations are under way for my
(almost) Independence Day baby! He'd cringe at that, since this year he turns double digits....the Big 10! Ack! He knew I was dying to hose the house down with cuteness like I did
his sister's party, but he also has his own ideas now.
(Who let that happen?!) So we came to a nice compromise...a two-part party, to coincide with the two-digit milestone.
First I called on my favorite party designer, Carli from
DimplePrints, and she cranked out this most fabulous invitation!
He and his friends will start the afternoon at Jump Street, an indoor trampoline park, then come back home for
my part a swim party and cook-out. Since my son's birthday is right before the Fourth of July, I'm going with a Red, White & Blue color theme. Which is pretty cheap and easy to do this time of year, thank you Dollar Store and Target for your ready-made fabulousness!
After some time spent on the internets, I found these FREE
Patriotic printables! They are great for Fourth of July and Memorial Day parties, but I'm being careful to not let my son's birthday be too overshadowed by the holiday, so I'm utilizing just a few of the offerings.
Here's what I've prepped so far:
And these are a few more ideas I'm mulling over, via
my Pinterest.
It's sure to be a fun afternoon for everyone, especially
this guy! What's on your calendar for the long weekend? Enjoy it, everyone!
I'd like a piece of that awesome cake :) Happy 4th of July weekend!

ReplyDeleteSo enjoyed looking through your blog! Double digits is so sad, isn't it? It just seems like they're about to go off to college!!! My oldest is 11 and it was way happier for me than 10. Also addicted to pinterest!!!! You can see that I've repinned you without even realizing it was you. Happy 4th!
