{Living Room} Lamp-A-Looza

Thursday, February 16, 2012

My love for paint chocolate cardigans lamps runs as deep as Carrie Bradshaw's love of shoes. I am incapable of ignoring the lamp section, in any store! I especially love finding lamp treasure in unexpected places. And in my geeky off-time, I play musical lamps in my home. You may recall the most recent Living Room lamps were gold with black drum shades. I never really loved them in this room. Too tall, dark and handsome heavy in front of the bookshelves.

100_6863

But after we got new chairs, I discovered I really loved them in the Dining Room!

100_6924

Which meant the shorter urchin lamps....

100_2132

Moved to the Living Room. Where they looked like lamps in a whack-a-mole game, with only the tops visible.

100_7077

Something in between those two sizes was needed, and as luck would have it, I found three great options! I don't want to cloud your opinion, so I'll hold off telling you where. Each is still attached to the package so Rita Return can do her thang once a decision has been made, so just disregard the box under each.

lamp collage

Previous Lamp-A-Looza posts revealed your adoration of lamps, so you get to help me choose! (Because you know I'm decision-making-stunted.) First up are the clear stacked balls TWSS. I like that they don't detract from the room, but the bases are a bit puny, they are a tad too short, and I have a similar lamp in Babygirl's Room.

100_7204
Disregard the carpet cleaner in the corner and the urchin lamps on the floor. I couldn't be bothered to move them.

Next on your ballot are the mossy green gourd lamps. Good sized base and height, and the color pulls from the pillows, rug and wingchair.

100_7195

100_7194

100_7196
Ignore the wreaths, too. I've since taken them down.

And finally for your consideration, the smoky blue gourds. Good sized base and height, and the color pulls from the pillows, sofa, rug and armoire.

100_7199

100_7198

100_7201

It's a tough choice, right?! I really like each for different reasons.

And the shopping spot of these surprise treasures.....Lowes! Yep, who knew?! Each base (lampshade not included) is less than $25. Can't beat that with a stick.

So what's your vote:

A. Clear
B. Green
C. Blue
D. Who cares, please stop talking about lamps and finish the Living Room for crying out loud!

Mrs. H February 16, 2012 7:20 AM

I like the green best!
The blue is pretty too, but I think that it's too matchy-matchy.
I like the contrast that the green lamp brings to the room.
I have committment and decision issues with purchases too. Lucky for you, Lowes will take any and all returns.
(My hubs worked for them right after high school)

Katie February 16, 2012 7:23 AM

No to the clear. LOVE the green the most and the blue second best! Great choices!

Cassie @ Primitive & Proper February 16, 2012 7:23 AM

i like the clear best- i think there is already so much color in there that the clear works well with everything.

heather s. February 16, 2012 7:37 AM

Green! The blue is too matchy-matchy. I also recently noticed all the great lamps at Lowes - great finds!

Maury Kilgo February 16, 2012 7:39 AM

Green! I love the pop of color. The blue is too close to the color of the couch and matchy match. The clear almost disappears.

cheryl @ nefotlak. February 16, 2012 7:40 AM

green - then blue. grweat lamps. C xx

Melanie February 16, 2012 7:44 AM

Green! They really pop, and they drew my eye around the room a lot more...from the green in the bookcases to the pillows, to the coffee table.

Leslie February 16, 2012 7:51 AM

I discovered Lowe's last summer, and just about died! Their lamp selection is great, and REASONABLE. Anyways, I love the blue the absolute best. I have a pair of those clear lamps and adore them, but the blue is my favorite in this space. :)

Andrea @ Decorating Cents February 16, 2012 7:52 AM

I think the green works best. They coordinate well with the other colors in the room. The blue matches too much with the sofa and the clear ones disappear.

The Crown Family February 16, 2012 7:52 AM

I prefer the blue, but I can see from your style that the green would probably work better. My style is much more muted than yours ;) The clear is ok, but not for that room.

Angeline February 16, 2012 7:53 AM

Two industrial-like desk (or floor) lamps might work there as well - I happen to love the black shades from the other lamps...and the blue lamps - together that might not work, though ... :)

stacy,  February 16, 2012 7:59 AM

although i love all 3- gotta go with the blue...it really lets your other colors shine, rather than competing with them. I love all the changes you are making!

Linda @ Home is Where My Heart is February 16, 2012 8:10 AM

I'm always partial to blue but in the case I REALLY think blue is the right choice. The clear doesn't make a big enough statement, the green sticks out too much. LOVE THE BLUE and love your whole room! ~Linda

Anonymous,  February 16, 2012 8:10 AM

Green!!! I wouldn't have picked green just looking at the lamps but seeing them in your l-room, they are definitely the right choice!

Kim @ keller-creative February 16, 2012 8:12 AM

I like Blue the best. Or you can keep on the hunt and find something more in the metalics (or mercury glass again). Even a larger base glass one would look nice... I'm so not helpful.

T. Cashion February 16, 2012 8:18 AM

Definitely the green. It really pops.

Ali February 16, 2012 8:21 AM

This seriously looks like my living room right now, Im trying to decide between several lamps and my indecisiveness is taking over. I like the green or blue, don't think you can go wrong with either.

Cristy February 16, 2012 8:21 AM

I'm reading that most people don't agree, but I like the blue best.

MeliDeLa February 16, 2012 8:22 AM

Love the look of the green, but the blue is my favorite for your space. :-)

samara florus February 16, 2012 8:29 AM

I like the size and shape of the green/blue one the best, but I like that the clear doesn't compete with all the other colors and patterns on the sofa and bookcases.

Chelsea @ {twotwentyone} February 16, 2012 8:30 AM

If the clear were taller I'd say clear. But since lamps can't grow, I'm gonna go with green.

FALU February 16, 2012 8:34 AM

I would go with green, it pops up. i just Love it

Carrie,  February 16, 2012 8:34 AM

The green just totally jumped out at me!

minerva @ deer valley homes for sale February 16, 2012 8:34 AM

And I love your love for lamps! :D These lamps are all gorgeous and fabulous! I especially love the ones in your dining room which really went well with the chairs. ;)

yearofserendipity February 16, 2012 8:35 AM

Looks like most of us agree- Go Green! The clear just disappear, the blue blend in, but the green are a nice pop without screaming "LOOK AT ME!"

Danielle February 16, 2012 8:35 AM

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them, but I'd say the green is my favourite! Your living room is such a great study in really great use of colour, congrats!

Chrissy February 16, 2012 8:38 AM

I love the green. It's amazing how one piece can change the look of the room!

Anne-Marie @ 10 Rooms February 16, 2012 8:41 AM

love the green, because they contrast with the sofa, and pull the green from all your other accents. What a difference...

Niki February 16, 2012 8:41 AM

The clear isn't my favorite, but it's a hard choice between the blue and green.

I'll say it depends on what you're going for. The green stands out more and is more noticeable, while the blue blends in more. I like both!

Elizabeth,  February 16, 2012 8:45 AM

I have to say GREEN! The blue is my favorite lamp overall, but like everyone said, it's too matchy-matchy. Green looks fab and really pops.

Crystal (theweekendhomemaker.com) February 16, 2012 8:47 AM

I wouldn't have thought it, but I love the green! It brings out the greens elsewhere in the room and pops, whereas the other choices blend in.

Anonymous,  February 16, 2012 8:52 AM

I actually have those green lamps from Lowe's. I love them! But, in your room, I think I like the blue better......

Mary February 16, 2012 9:05 AM

They're all so cute you can't go wrong! I think clear is my favorite, though! :)

Bridget February 16, 2012 9:06 AM

I like the green the best, only because it pulls from the whole living room where as the blue (even though it looks amazing as well) sits behind the light blue couch... good luck and whatever you choose it will look amazing!

Dharma February 16, 2012 9:06 AM

Never thought I'd say it......but green all the way. The contrast is best :)

Katie @ Wildwood Creek February 16, 2012 9:14 AM

Love all three lamps, and you know how much I love blue; however, I think the green is a nice contrast and cuts the sweetness of the pink that you've mentioned.

KellyLane February 16, 2012 9:15 AM

Green! The other ones just don't stand out!

Jennifer (Moonpie Dreams) February 16, 2012 9:46 AM

Wow, Cassie! Such a tough choice! For me, it's definitely between the blue and the green, but my initial gut says GREEN! You can't go wrong with any of them though. Great finds!!! Can't wait to see which ones you choose!!!

Becky February 16, 2012 9:48 AM

I love the green. They stand out more than the others.

Meggie February 16, 2012 9:53 AM

I like the clear! It sounds like you're kind of talking yourself out of those, so then I'd go with blue. They way they go with the rug is just perfect!

Emma (Glitter and Gold) February 16, 2012 9:55 AM

love the green or blue. green stands out more for a statement and the blue blends classically. . . .hmmmm choices?

Anonymous,  February 16, 2012 9:58 AM

Green for sure!

Colleen February 16, 2012 10:00 AM

I love the blue but the green is nice. The clear is great but gets lost in this room. I'm heading to Lowe's this weekend. I need family room lamps.

Cherie February 16, 2012 10:05 AM

Only the green ones! The blue is too matchy matchy; the clear too short. LOVE the green.

Your black lampshades are moody and are probably better placed in the dining room for some ambiance. I painted the inside of my black lampshade, following Cassie's method with Gold Dust Modern Metallic paint, and it turned out FABulously. It is on a corner lamp in the entryway and sheds just enough mood for that space.

Hera,  February 16, 2012 10:17 AM

I like the green, but I also liked your original gold lamps with black shades. The new lights seem to be the same height as the gold lamps w/ black shades, judging by how tall they look against the bottom picture hanging on your bookcase.

mary straton February 16, 2012 10:25 AM

I'm crazy about the green!

Justine February 16, 2012 10:42 AM

love the pop of green! and, can't believe those are from lowe's - never would have thought.

Anonymous,  February 16, 2012 10:48 AM

green if you want a pop. Blue if you like more subtle. No to the clear

SSM February 16, 2012 10:54 AM

You have great lighting in that room. Great window.

I also have a love for lamps!

Enjoy your day.

Whitney February 16, 2012 10:59 AM

Either gourd is a winner. I would choose the green because it has more contrast and a more "wow" moment.

The blue would be great if you do want a softer pallet, but I like a little punch- Especially during the spring!

Whitney@www.whitneybrock.blogspot.com

Karen February 16, 2012 11:20 AM

Love the green! They really draw out the green in the ikat pillows. The blue kinda blends into the sofa and the clear ones are.... well.... invisible. LOL

Green!

LuckyMama923 February 16, 2012 11:32 AM

I like the green...the blue blends in too much. Green is a bit of a pop!

Whitney February 16, 2012 11:39 AM

Love how the green pops but pulls it all together at the same time

lindley February 16, 2012 11:56 AM

Green: if you want unexpected, interesting.
Blue: if you want pretty, safe.
Clear: umm, no. too tiny, insignificant.
From your earlier description, I think I said I would prefer the blue, but the green just makes me crazy in that happy room.
And they certainly don't look like inexpensive lamps at all - also love the LR lamps now in the DR.

B.Moffatt February 16, 2012 11:58 AM

The Green ones. They stand out more than the other to, and look great with the greens in the cushions on the sofa.

Amanda @ Serenity Now February 16, 2012 12:17 PM

Tough choice!! The blue blends nicely with the rest of the room, but like other said...it can be kind of matchy. The green really pops!

Anna @ Take the Side Street February 16, 2012 12:27 PM

I love how both the blue and the green look, and I really like how the blue blends with the rest of the room and I also like the fun pop of the green. If it was ME (which it's not, so be sure to pick which one YOU love) I think I would actually go with the blue because I like how it ties everything together... the green is fun and bright, but there's almost too much going on. FOR ME. Remember, this isn't my house. Haha :) I just find the overall aesthetic with the blue lamps to be more pleasing... to me. Long enough comment for you? ;)

Anna @ Take the Side Street February 16, 2012 12:29 PM

PS By 'blend' I don't mean matchy matchy disappear blend. I mean like it blends all the elements together and doesn't compete for attention with your fun pillows and all the great stuff on your bookcases. It's the whole focus on your eyes or your lips makeup premise... not everything can compete for attention. ZOINKS. Now this comment is REALLY too long ;)

Anonymous,  February 16, 2012 12:31 PM

Blue! You have SO much going on in that room they compliment without screaming look at me.

MCherie February 16, 2012 12:32 PM

I actually love the blue. It's matchy, but it doesn't detract from all the great stuff you've got going on in the bookshelf! I think a little matchy is good in this case :) Great Lowe's find!

JoJo February 16, 2012 12:54 PM

So I may be a bit biased because I own those exact bleu gord lamps from Lowes as well. However, I do favor the bleu in your room too. Even though one might think it may be to matchy-matchy, I feel like they compliment the important parts of the room like the sofa & bookcases without overpowering them. With the green lamps all I look at is the lamps (my boyfriend wanted the green ones for our house as well) & I don't really notice the beautiful shelving displays behind. And the clear, MEH. I vote bleu.

Lil Mama Stuart February 16, 2012 1:13 PM

blue! Does Mr sugarplum think its weird when he sees you've switched out all the lamps AGAIN?! haha

Leigh February 16, 2012 1:13 PM

Normally I am a blue type of girl, but in your room I really love the green.

Beth {Design Your Dwelling} February 16, 2012 1:14 PM

I really like the green! :) And by the way, your room is so beautiful and bright - Love it!

Lauren February 16, 2012 1:24 PM

Tough decision, but I vote green!

Kayla @ Your Day Simplified February 16, 2012 1:26 PM

Green all the way! It's a nice pop of color that compliments the other accessories in the room. I think the blue ones get lost with the blue sofa and the clear ones are nice but are also lost. Great picture sequences! That was a lot of work I'm sure.

Kelli @ Life at 818 February 16, 2012 1:29 PM

I think I vote for the green! They really do pull from the other greens in your room and it's a "good-lookin" green.. you crack me up

sarah@totalbassetcase.com February 16, 2012 1:39 PM

B!

OR the clear with a different shade

Becca February 16, 2012 1:39 PM

Green or clear. It depends on whether or want the lamps to stick out, like demand some attention-- then choose green. If you want them to accent the living roo, like match but also hold their own--then clear.
Blue matches too much

Amy Collins {Fresh and Fancy} February 16, 2012 1:46 PM

My vote is Clear or Blue! Clear is a little more glam - so, not sure what you are going for - but they are both really pretty in that space!

P.S. Check out my gold spray paint action I posted about today - thanks for the inspiration!

www.freshandfancyblog.blogspot.com

Ashley@AttemptsAtDomestication February 16, 2012 1:47 PM

I vote green! They really pull out the colors in the ikat pillows and don't blend into the bookshelf behind them.

Amber February 16, 2012 1:55 PM

I am in the minority here but I really like the clear!

Emily February 16, 2012 2:10 PM

They are all good options, especially shown by the voters being so torn. I like blue!

Dana Gastelum February 16, 2012 2:19 PM

I love them all!! Can't believe they are from LOWES! I think the blue is my fave :)

Jacci February 16, 2012 2:22 PM

I'm not going to read all the other comments... I don't want to be swayed :) I like the green best! BUT, I will say I think they *might* make your pillow choices down the road a little more difficult. They work so well with the pillows you have now, but it's such a specific color situation... changing out the pillows might be tricksy.

Love it. You're Domino-in' this thang ;)

Leigh February 16, 2012 2:49 PM

LOVE them all, but I'd definitely choose the green. Blue is actually my favorite color (and I adore the shade of this blue lamp), but with the blue armoire and couch, I just think the green pops much more. Love it!

Tracy K-dollarsandsensedecor.com February 16, 2012 2:52 PM

LOVE reading your posts! You always make me chuckle. :)
A is out for sure (imo)
C is my 1st choice with B coming in close 2nd.

Anonymous,  February 16, 2012 3:00 PM

Blue - There is a lot of color and the green detracts from the bookcases.

Karen At Home February 16, 2012 3:02 PM

I love these posts, you so sound like me!!! I am indecisive about things like this all of the time. Clear for sure, I know it sounds like I am in the minority but I think those lamps add just a touch of class to the room.

Let us know which ones you choose!

Tracy Baxter February 16, 2012 3:04 PM

B) Green Definitely! Perfect contrast with the couch and pink in the bookshelves.

Jen @ RamblingRenovators February 16, 2012 3:06 PM

Blue is the clear winner for me. They don't compete, but complete the room.

Tiff February 16, 2012 3:35 PM

Greeeen!!! Nice little pop!

Tiff February 16, 2012 3:38 PM

Greeeen!!! Nice little pop!

Grammy Goodwill February 16, 2012 3:41 PM

Despite the fact that green is becoming my new favorite color, in this instance I pick the blue for you. I like how they look in your room.

Loren February 16, 2012 3:43 PM

Wow they all look really nice. But the clear is a clear winner (lawl) from my point of view.
The other two look nice but I think there is already loads of cool stuff going on that the clear 'compete' with the rest of the room less.
None of them would be a bad choice though they are all super cute.

Tiffany @ {Living Savvy} February 16, 2012 3:52 PM

Blue!! Hands down the best fit in the room!!

Yby5 February 16, 2012 3:53 PM

I'm loving the blue because it showcases your sofa (which I adore). Your pillows have such fun colors to play off you can't go wrong with either thr blue or green. Look forward to seeing what you pick.

Dacia @ Lemon Drop Life February 16, 2012 5:04 PM

Blue is the top choice for me! But green would be my second choice!!

Jen February 16, 2012 7:03 PM

I like the blue best (B), but green would be a runner up.

Anonymous,  February 16, 2012 8:10 PM

You clearly have a nagging dissatisfaction with this room. I think the problem lies not with the lamps but right at your feet: the rug. If you would remove the rug, or at least replace it with something more neutral, all the rest of the room would fall into place.

Are the lamps needed for light? If they are merely decorative, I would do away with them completely. There is so much going on in the bookcase behind the lamps that the lamps are a distraction from all your other hard work.

Riley

Lori February 16, 2012 8:24 PM

It's a toss up between the blue and the green, but I think I would choose the blue.

Brenda February 16, 2012 8:33 PM

GREEN!!! Hands down!!!

Suzanne February 16, 2012 8:42 PM

I like green the best. I have stumbled on your blog through pinterest today and am ob-sessed! I love everything, especially the faux crown molding. I'm definetly giving that a shot. Your home is amazing!

Stefania @ ouryellowlovenest February 16, 2012 8:56 PM

I love the green ones, they look great against the couch and shelves.

Jill February 16, 2012 9:29 PM

Blue, clear, green. I know whichever you pick will look great!

Megan February 16, 2012 9:39 PM

I like 'em all!! The clear because they are nice, can go anywhere or work with anything.... but, I really like the blue gourd. I want 'em in my house!!!

Blue definitely

MicahTj February 17, 2012 8:21 AM

Although I love the color of the green, I would say the blue. The clear don't seem substantial enough to me for the space you're using them in. The green definitely look great, but I love how the blue blends....just a shade off from the couch, so it's not perfectly matching, but rather compliments and still let's the room itself stand out as a whole.

Tiffany February 17, 2012 9:49 AM

I made sure not to look at the other comments. I didn't want to get swayed by peer pressure:) So, that being said, I choose green since it will pick up on the colors in the rug and pillows. There is already a lot of love for blue in the room so I thought poor green could get a chance to shine as well.

Heather February 17, 2012 10:11 AM

I like the blue because of its seamlessness -- it doesn't distract from the bookcase, which is where by eyes really want to go....

Anonymous,  February 17, 2012 10:19 AM

No on the clear- nice, but not really substantial enough for the space (just my opinion). Like the green a lot, especially with the new couch pillows, but not sure I love them with the color scheme of the rest of the room (not seeing that green anywhere but on the pillows- seems a bit off with the rug, wingback, etc.). I vote blue- compliments the entire room without being another big focal point. More cohesive w/ the room as a whole. Gotta edit somewhere, right? :)

Anonymous,  February 17, 2012 11:42 AM

Love the green for contrast and interest. The blue is too predictable and the clear lamp disappears in the room.

AGohl February 17, 2012 12:17 PM

I like the blue best....carries the blue through the room...and such a pretty color too.:)

Danielle February 17, 2012 12:17 PM

If you're looking for a contrast and a pop of color, I'd go with the green. If you want them to blend but still be eye catching, I'd choose the blue. My opinion would be green though. Love your space!

Budget Design Girl February 17, 2012 12:43 PM

I am going to say BLUE, because it looks great, and doesn't compete for your attention visually with all the other fab things in your room.
You are SO funny! Whack a mole! Ha! And, I can just picture you fining a great lamp while shopping..."Hello, Lover!" Hee-hee.
I totally get it, though my shoe obsession is unfortunately equal to my home decor obsession. *Sigh*
Have a great weekend! Can't wait to see what you decide!

I vote E, none of the above. Just a thought-- what about some ginger jar lamps from goodwill with a shot of your trusty gold rust-oleum and some new shades? Gold is always a winner, if you ask me! :)

Anonymous,  February 17, 2012 2:09 PM

Normally, I'd say go for the contrasting green, but I really like the blue!

lilsis February 17, 2012 2:44 PM

Def the green. balances and blends all the different colors from the coach to the bookshelf.

Beth S February 17, 2012 3:17 PM

Blue. The green is distracting to me.
Love how you ask for opinions!

cyw95,  February 17, 2012 3:48 PM

I like the green the best but also would like to say (and I know you did not ask this, so apologies if I offend!) I feel the lamp shades interfere with the pictures and the mirror in the background. I would suggest getting some small adjustable reading lamps on swivel arms that can be used at night for light but during the day not ruin the line of sight along the back of the couch, understand??

GirlieBeku February 17, 2012 4:09 PM

I'd go with blue. The green feels too obvious. The clear ones don't work, although they're pretty.

Aubrey {All Things Bright and Beautiful} February 17, 2012 4:37 PM

Hehehe...I thought about answering "D" just to be a pain in the a**, but I actually wanted to say that I *LURVE* the green ones...the stacked crystal just doesn't have enough "omph" for the area and the blue is too matchy-matchy with the couch...Um, opinionated much? Why yes, yes I am! But honestly, you always seem to figure out the best one all on your own (c; I can't wait to see what you decide!

P.S. In all actuality, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them (c:

I love the blue!!! Have you considered finding a longer sofa table? I find that the lamps look too close together. Thanks for letting us all weigh in. Good luck!

Blue! Love, love, love the BLUE!!! : )

I say GREEN, and I really like the gold and black lamps in the dining room. I'm digging the new pillows too!

Latoya @ The Scott's Crib February 17, 2012 11:25 PM

I would say the blue because its safe, but the green looks awesome too and it feels risky, so I say go for the green:)!!!

BLUE...blu...azul...and blue :)

I like the blue best. I don't think it looks too "matchy". There's already a lot of color in that area because of the rug, pillows and book cases. Perfect! I too have a lamp addiction. My husband teases me about it all the time. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one!

I think I have caught this lamp affliction from you. I catch myself cruising through the lamp section of any store. Sighing, touching, and oh yes - buying.
I love the blue ones -that is my favorite color, but the green ones work best for your space - blend but not too matchy.

Hmm...I almost said blue, but I'm gonna go with my gut and say green! It pops. The other lamps look great over in the dining room with those chairs, too! This post made me laugh multiple times through it :)

Oh Lordy, this is a tough one. Green, I think...but maybe clear? Loving those pillows!

Deidra,  February 19, 2012 11:19 AM

#1 Clear - doesn't compete with your lovely bookcases

#2 Green - adds another spunky color

I say no to blue

Courtana February 19, 2012 7:58 PM

Okay, at first I was all about B (green) because the room already has a lot of blue in it..but now, I'm torn..the behind the couch pic makes me pull for C (blue)!

Love the new pillows!

GREEN! I actually have a really similar green lamp in Wells' room! I tend to go towards blue but the green really pops!

blue its true is for you!!

Casey @ My Semi Grownup Life February 20, 2012 10:54 AM

Definitely the green! They really pop against the sofa and bookcases, whereas the other two just sort of blend in.

Megan Lee February 20, 2012 11:28 AM

I think the green makes the rest of the colors in the room pop. Go green!

Erin February 20, 2012 2:21 PM

I love the green!!! Blue is my second favorite color so it was close but I love the way the green popped!

i like the green and the blue..

Tamar,  February 24, 2012 12:32 PM

My vote is for the green!

Blue just goes away & blends in far too much.

The clear are super cute (love the stacked balls ... I have them in my bedroom in nickel finish) & you would be able to use them almost anywhere when you get the urge to play musical lamps again.

BUT, for this room, in this space, for now, I like the green best ... it is most pleasing to the eye.

Can't wait to see what you choose!

Hands down the green!!

Love your blog! Came over from Thrifty Decor Chick and I'm a new follower! You have great style;)

And I noticed your bookcases in the background....amazing! I actually came across them on pinterest awhile back.

What a steal on the lamps but with the variety of color maybe its time for a metallic?

Mandy P March 6, 2012 8:01 AM

The blue!!!!! It's calming and not jarring to the eye. But that's just my opinion. ;) The room is gorgeous, so I'm sure which ever one you pick will look beautiful.

Green!
No, blue.
No green!
NOOO, definitely the blue!

House Crazy in Michigan! March 7, 2012 9:28 AM

I love the blue lamps best. When I saw them I thought "Just like a professional and expensive decorator would choose." For me, there is quite a lot going on behind those lamps on the bookshelf area and the green lamp choice looks too busy.

I vote for the blue which looks wonderful with your blue armoire, blue couch and blue in the rug.

I vote for the clear lamps, or maybe the blue ones.

Can't wait to see which ones you pick!
