Shay's mom started IBB Design when she was a toddler, so she's been exposed to design from an early age. I think that's so cool! You just never know the impact you're having on your children and the direction they may take from watching you.
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to meet Shay last week, and shocked to find IBB Design Fine Furnishings is a fabulous 40,000 square foot showroom north of Dallas. And open to the public, hello!!??
All the home furnishings and accessories are available to take home off the floor (perfect for regular folk like me, and designers needing to outfit a room quickly), or custom ordered. What's even better, is IBB prices everything below retail value. They feature a wide range of styles, everything from retro-mod to French Country chic. Lamps and throw pillows caught my eye at every turn.
Shay took me upstairs to the design resource center, where I felt like such a rookie standing among thousands of fabric samples and trims! I loved this custom sofa they created to help buyers visually choose their style.
And if you don't find what you're looking for in the two-story showroom, there's always the warehouse! My eyes were actually bigger than my mouth
Here I am
Oh, and this is where things get even cooler!! Shay was chosen as one of eight elite designers in the nation to be a part of this month's High Point Market Style Spotter program!
Style Spotters are trendsetters that see ahead of the curve in the home fashion trends. High Point Market has recruited them to showcase their favorite products and top trends at the April 21-26 show. The Style Spotters will post and curate their favorite looks on Pinterest. How about this for some good company?!
The rest of us are able to sit at home eating nachos and stalking their Pinterest boards! At the end of Market, the Style Spotter with the most 'Likes' and 'Repins' is declared the winner. I can't wait to see what Shay and the others find! Don't miss out on the fun, follow the trendsetter's boards now so you don't miss any of their pins! Congrats Shay, way to represent!
